Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is in Washington to meet with President Trump for what is being called a “working visit.”

With Trump’s tariffs, Carney is under pressure to negotiate some relief on autos, steel, aluminum, lumber and energy tariffs.


After a day off on Monday, the Jays and Tigers continue their American League Divisional Series today.

The Tigers will host the Seattle Mariners at Comerica Park for Game 3, first pitch is at 4:08 p.m. Game 4 is set for 3:08 p.m. tomorrow. Detroit and Seattle are tied at 1-1 in the best-of-5 series.

The Jays are in New York to play the Yankees at 8:08 p.m. Toronto leads the series 2-0 and would advance with a win tonight.

Both games are on Sportsnet.


The NHL kicks off the 2025-26 regular season tonight, with a tripleheader. It’s the 109th season.

The defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers will raise their banner to kick off the night.

The Leafs and Red Wings don’t play tonight. The Maple Leafs will play Montreal tomorrow and the Red Wings host the Canadiens Thursday.

The season runs until April 17, 2025 with the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin shortly after.


Rain in the forecast today with a high of 20C, it’ll feel like 26 with the humidity.

Temperatures drop below normal midweek, down to a high of just 16 for Wednesday and Thursday – but lots of sun expected.
