CKRecreation is offering another Red Cross babysitting course on Friday.

The course is being held at Thames Campus Arena. Open to 11 – 15 year old’s to learn how to be a safe, professional and reliable babysitter.

Tough day for the Jays and Tigers in their American League Divisional Series games.

The Tigers lost to the Mariners 8-4. Seattle now leads the best-of-5 series 2-1. They’re back at Comerica Park for Game 4 at 3:08 p.m. this afternoon.

The Jays got up 6-1 early in Detroit, but couldn’t hold them off. The Yankees take it 9-6. Toronto still leads the series 2-1 and will play Game 4 tonight at 7:08 p.m.

Both games are on Sportsnet.


The Tunnel Bus returned this week, now run by a new company.

Transit Windsor ended its regular tunnel bus service to Detroit at the end of August. The Linq Tunnel Bus began offering rides to Detroit and back Monday morning. The regular scheduled and special events bus will cost $15 per person, one way. Payment is cashless (debit or credit card) with seating being first-come, first-served.

Amazon kicked off the holiday shopping season yesterday with Prime Big Deal Days, basically a second set of Prime Day deals.

Scammers used the event to post fake Amazon websites. Over 700 fake Amazon websites were created in September 2025. Scammers are also sending Emails and texts with phony Amazon alerts, so it’s best to avoid clicking on any suspicious links.
