Friday 1:30-3 at the Gable Rees Rotary Pool in Blenheim and at the Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool 1:30–4. No registration needed.
October is Fire Prevention Month.
Chatham-Kent Firefighters from all 19 fire stations, along with community partners will be taking to the streets, knocking on doors, and visiting homes to check your alarms all month. CHiRP Checks will be happening this weekend in Wheatley, next weekend in Tilbury and Merlin and the weekend of October 25th in Chatham and Wallaceburg.
You can book a CHiRP Check by visiting CKFire.ca or calling 311, or just opening the door this month when a firefighter makes their way through your neighbourhood.

For the first time in nine years, the Toronto Blue Jays have won a playoff series. The Jay eliminated the New York Yankees with a 5-2 win in Detroit.
The Tigers forced a deciding Game 5 in their American League Divisional Series with a 9-3 win at Comerica Park. Detroit last won at home on September 6th.
Detroit and Seattle will play Game 5 on Friday at 8:08 p.m., the winner moves on to play the Jays. Game 1 in the best-of-seven American League Championship Series will begin on Sunday in Toronto.

On October 18th, KFC will drop the machine in a secret Sydney, Australia spot where customers can enjoy the convenience of their favourite fried chicken on the go.
Lucky fans who find it will score free boxes of the brand’s brand-new flavour, Sweet Tokyo Hot & Crispy. The vending machine won’t be easy to find, KFC is turning it into a treasure hunt, releasing cryptic clues on social media that fans must crack to pinpoint its exact location.
