The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers have announced their home opener for the 2026 Canadian Baseball League season. The Barnstormers will open at Fergie Jenkins Field on May 15th, hosting the Guelph Royals.
CBL teams will play a 48-game schedule this season — split evenly with 24 home and 24 road games. The full league schedule will be released Monday at 10 a.m.

NORAD is tracking Santa again this Christmas for the 70th year.
The military-run, all-volunteer tracking operation launched its NORAD Tracks Santa website, noradsanta.org on December 1st. The website features Santa’s North Pole Village, including a countdown until Santa’s annual December 24th journey, plus games, a movie theater, holiday music, a web store and more. The website is available in nine languages.
On Christmas Eve trackers worldwide can call 1-877-HI-NORAD for real-time updates on Santa’s location from live operators.
Parents can also download the official NORAD Tracks Santa smartphone app, available on the Apple App and Google Play stores.
Good news for kids mailing letters to Santa — Canada Post confirms children who sent letters to the North Pole will get a reply.
A month-long strike by more than 55,000 postal workers last year meant Old Saint Nick couldn’t respond to letters, but kids were assured he would read each one.
More than a million letters are sent to Santa each year, and as long as they were addressed to Santa Claus, H0H0H0, Canada, and mailed by early December 8th, replies will be delivered — just in time for Christmas.
