Team Canada has named its flag bearers for the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

Moguls skier Mikaël Kingsbury and ski-cross star Marielle Thompson have been named flag-bearers for the opening ceremony.

Kingsbury is the most decorated moguls skier of all time, owns an Olympic gold from 2018, and two silvers. He’ll have two medal chances in Italy, with dual moguls making its Olympic debut. Thompson won ski-cross gold in 2014 and silver in 2022.

The opening ceremony goes February 6 in Milan.

An Australian billionaire’s plan to relaunch the Titanic is moving ahead.

The plans were first announced in 2012, but so far, nothing concrete has been done yet. But Clive Palmer has now confirmed that construction is set to begin this year.

The ship will recreate the original route, sailing from Southampton, England, to New York, with a stop in Cherbourg, France. The replica will match the original’s design, it’ll feature modern navigation systems and — critically — enough lifeboats for everyone onboard.

Titanic II will allow passengers to experience the ship’s “unique majesty,” without repeating history’s most famous maritime disaster. We hope.
