Canada’s Agriculture Day celebrates ten years of honouring the hardworking individuals who bring food to our tables and the contributions of agriculture to our nation’s prosperity, health, and well-being.

The Kent Federation of Agriculture (KFA) will be collecting food donations for the Chatham-Kent Salvation Army and OutReach for Hunger. Donations can be made this morning between 9-noon at the Salvation Army Church on Orangewood Boulevard in Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Public Library hosts Movies @ Your Library every Tuesday at the Chatham branch.

Day 4 of the Winter Olympics in Italy and Canada has another medal.

Freestyle skier Megan Oldham has won bronze in women’s slopestyle. Oldham is from Parry Sound and just 24-years-old. She has a chance to pick up a second medal in big air, which begins on Saturday.

The Canadian Women’s hockey team beat Czechia 5-1, they’ll play rival U.S. today at 2:10 p.m. All eyes will be on captain Marie-Philip Poulin after she suffered an injury vs. Czechia after leaving the game in the first period with a lower-body injury, she did not return.

Canada now has two medals in Italy, both bronze.
