It’s Trivia Night at Sons of Kent in support of Rise House International.

Cost is $20 per person at the door. Trivia begins at 7pm with some awesome prizes to be won.

A heads up for dog owners in CK: March 31st is the deadline to get your 2026 municipal dog tag if you want to avoid a $10 late fee.

Every dog owner in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent is required to purchase a dog license tag for their dog(s) each year. Dog tags can be purchased at any Municipal Office, by mail or over the phone.

Tags may also be purchased at Pet and Wildlife Rescue in Chatham. More information on how to purchase tags can be found here.

The Blenheim Blades and Wheatley Omstead Sharks are the only two local PJHL team still alive – and they’re playing each other in the Stobbs Division Quarter Finals.

The Blades lead the series 2-0 in the best-of-seven series after a 4-1 win last night in Wheatley. Game 3 is tonight in Blenheim at 7 p.m.

Speaking of the Blades, the Sarnia Sting will be inducting former forward Matt Martin into the Sarnia Sting Hall of Fame on Friday night.

The recently retired NHLer played 987 games for the New York Islanders and Toronto Maple Leafs over 16 seasons. Before the NHL and OHL, Matt played one season in Blenheim in 2005-06 scoring 23 points in 40 games.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their nominees for the 2026 class yesterday. There are 17, and 10 of them are first-timers.

To be eligible, an artist must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years ago.

Here are the 2026 Nominees: The Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Mariah Carey, Phil Collins, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, Billy Idol, INXS, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, New Edition, Oasis, Pink, Sade, Shakira, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan.

Fans can now vote for their favourites once a day. The official inductees will be announced in April, and the ceremony will be sometime this fall.

Phil Collins is currently at the top of the Fan Vote leaderboard. He was actually inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010, but this is his first time being nominated as a solo artist. The other first-time nominees are Jeff Buckley, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, New Edition, Pink, Shakira, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan.
