Get your funky socks ready for tomorrow, it will be Down Syndrome Awareness Day.

It’s always falls on March 21st (Third Month, 21st Day… three copies of the 21st Chromosome – get it?!) Socks are chosen because their shape resembles chromosomes, and wearing mismatched socks is a fun and visible way to start conversations about inclusion, acceptance, and celebrating differences.

You’re supposed to show off your funky socks on social media and tag it with #LotsofSocks and check out LotsofSocks online.

Spring officially arrives at 10:46 this morning.

For the next three months here in the Northern Hemisphere the days will grow longer, that will lead us to June’s Summer Solstice on June 21st, the longest day of the year.

The beginning of Spring all has to do with Leap Days and Daylight Saving Time, so the date always changes. March 19th is actually the earliest day that Spring can be, but most often it’s March 20 or 21st.
