With Spring officially here, the Chatham-Kent Public Library‘s Seed Library is now open. The Seed Library allows residents to “borrow” seeds from all branches.

The CKPL Grows Seed Library offers a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds at each branch. Library members can borrow seeds for free, save the seeds they grow, and return some of those seeds back to the library at the end of the growing season. There are thirty-five different types of seeds are available to borrow this year.

Since the CKPL Grows Seed Library began 10 years ago, over 20,000 seed packages have been checked out.

The Ontario Hockey League regular season has come to an end.

The Windsor Spitfires will play the Guelph Storm in the first round. Game 1 is Thursday and Game 2 Saturday in Windsor.

The London Knights will the Soo Greyhounds. Game 1 is Friday and Game 2 Sunday in London.

The Sarnia Sting did not make the playoffs.

Uganda just brought rhinos back to the Kidepo Valley National Park for the first time since poaching wiped them out in 1983.

Four southern white rhinos were carefully relocated from a sanctuary nearby, which was a major conservation milestone. Wildlife officials say this gives them hope for the future of the rhino.
