- Local businesses providing supplies for home made face masks– Trim King Upholstery put out rolls of 1/4” elastic in 3 yard packages for anyone making and donating masks.
- Pollution reduced
- Hometown Hero lunches
- CKMORNINGS Honk for Healthcare (Wednesday mornings at 8:05!)
- Ron the Cat (Facebook/Instagram) A local nurse who posts her cat in different outfits and talks about the pandemic.
- Grocery store deliveries
- Stores with curbside pickup
- Elizabeth Downey‘s Facebook “artist lessons”
- Reconnecting with families
- On line free home workouts
- Trainers getting to see their clients with online workouts!
- People are learning new skills and adapting with innovative ideas
- Meeting their neighbours and being a neighbourhood again
- Local businesses that began offering services to help the vulnerable during pandemic
- Nature/animals that are returning
- Working from home…in your PJ’s
- Realizing, time after time, how great a community we live in
- Being a small business in a small community, I have seen how much the local people have supported me and helped me keep going.
- People stopped being so busy and started caring about each other again
- Clear skies and clean air, consistently being able to see the Cleveland skyline across Lake Erie.
- Strength and resilience demonstrated by our children/students/teacher.
- Community recognition/support of mental health.
- Given me the time to explore trails with the family I didn’t know about
- Jerzie Rylett going around to nursing homes, hospital, fire halls etc singing
- Tech donations to schools
- Neighbours helping neighbours
- Young Orlagh painting rocks
- Not having to see annoying co-workers! haha
- The opening of the Safe Shelter for the homeless!
- Agencies coming together to assist the homeless.
- Meals being delivered to homeless off site at the hotels daily.
- Signs thanking front line workers.
- Hill family children on Rondeau Estates Line, made an exercise course out of sidewalk chalk.
- Soybean Man’s YouTube videos.
- Discovering some new restaurants!
- Businesses that have re-invented themselves.
- Realizing what really matters.
