Meet Blue!

Alright, listen up, folks, because it’s me, Blue, and I’m here to set the record straight. I’m a seven-year-old, strapping blue tick hound, and let me tell ya, retirement? Never heard of her. I came from a farm where I was practically born with a work ethic, and I’ve been hunting ever since. You know that father-in-law who says he’s gonna slow down but then buys a new tractor? Yeah, that’s me, but with a nose instead of an engine. Give me a scent, and I’m in my happy place. I live for the thrill of the chase, the wind in my floppy ears, and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not all business. After a hard day’s work (or even a hard day’s nap), I’m pretty chill and enjoy some time off with my family. I’m a gentle soul, great with handling, and I love nothing more than lounging with my humans in the yard or on the couch. I’m not really into toys or fancy treats – my real reward is getting back to what I do best: sniffing!

I have been told I am good on the leash. My nose is my superpower, and sometimes that means I might get a little distracted on walks. A strong whiff of something interesting, and I might give a pull or two.

I’ll be honest, I’m a bit of a homebody, and sometimes I take my property protection seriously. New faces on my turf used to get the ol’ hound-dog glare at first, and don’t even get me started on the mailman. We’ve had beef since day one. I mean, who walks up to the house every single day, drops off paper, and leaves like it’s nothing? Suspicious behavior if you ask me. so a family who understands that and can manage my protective instincts is key.

What I’m really looking for is a partner in crime – someone who appreciates my drive to hunt, maybe even someone to hit the trails with. And when the day is done, I just want a family who wants to kick back and enjoy a good snuggle. If you’re looking for a loyal, hardworking, and surprisingly cuddly companion, then I’m your guy.
