Whiskey

Hi there, I’m Whiskey – neat, on the rocks, or however you like your German Shepherds served! I’m 3 years young, 80% handsome good boy, 20% chaos goblin, and 100% ready to be your new adventure buddy. I’m the type of guy who thinks a perfect day includes a good hike, a long walk, and a yard where I can zoom around like I’m staring in my own action movie. I’m also a certified Lean-On-You Love Bug™ – nothing fancy, just me casually putting my full body weight against you while you pet me. Very efficient. Very affectionate. You’re welcome.

I know my basics like sit and a few other cues, and I’m working hard on improving my manners. For example, apparently “hugging” people with my front paws is not considered polite greeting etiquette. Who knew? Same with that enthusiastic “tugboat impersonation” I sometimes do on leash when I get excited. Once I settle down though, I’m an absolute gentleman.

I’m not a cat guy (no thank you, little furry aliens), but I love dog friends! Sure, I might bark a bit at them from afar – long-distance conversations, you understand – but get me in a yard with them and we’re instant buddies.

One important thing to know about me: I was exposed to Lyme disease from a tick. I’m currently healthy, comfortable, and not showing any symptoms, but it’s something my future family should keep an eye on with regular check-ups and vet visits to make sure I stay feeling great. Most importantly, I’m loyal. Like, “stand beside you, follow you anywhere, best friend for life” loyal.
