Meet Dexter!

Professional good boy, part-time party planner, and full-time enthusiast of absolutely everything.

Dexter is a 1-year-old Husky/Bulldog mix, which basically means someone combined the enthusiasm of a toddler on espresso with the charm of a slightly confused potato… and somehow it worked out perfectly. This guy is the life of the party wherever he goes. If there are dogs around, Dexter is already sending out invitations for a playdate. He has been super dog-friendly with every pup he’s met, big or small, and he’s always ready to get the zoomies started.

When it comes to people, Dexter can be a little shy at first, especially with men. But don’t worry — his trust can be unlocked with the ancient magical currency known as treats. Once you offer a snack and tell him he’s handsome, you’ll see his personality load in like a game character reaching full power.

And speaking of power… Dexter is very smart. This overachiever already knows sit, down, paw, and spin, and he’s extremely eager to learn more. If there were a diploma for “Most Likely to Ace Obedience School,” Dexter would already have it framed.

Dexter is an active, high-energy boy who loves playtime, adventures, and keeping his brain busy. Toys, training games, sniffing missions, and zoomie marathons are all right up his alley. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy and playfully mouthy, which just means he sometimes forgets he’s not actually a kangaroo.

In his previous home it was mentioned that he guarded toys, but we haven’t seen that behavior here. Still, his future family should be comfortable continuing positive training and setting him up for success.

With his intelligence, athleticism, and enthusiasm for learning, Dexter would also make an amazing agility partner. He’s got the speed, the focus (especially if snacks are involved), and the “let’s go do something fun right now” attitude that makes dogs absolutely thrive in agility or other dog sports.

If you’re looking for a fun, goofy, clever dog who will keep life interesting, Dexter is ready to be your personal entertainment system, hiking buddy, and snack-motivated best friend.

Side effects of adopting Dexter may include:
• spontaneous laughter
• daily zoomie viewing
• being asked “wow, what kind of dog is that?” approximately 47 times per walk
• always having a very enthusiastic shadow

If your home is ready for a smart, silly, dog-loving bundle of chaos and joy, Dexter is ready to bring the party, visit pawr.org
