Meet Mikey!

Mikey is the brother to Jake and Dory and shares a similar story. He was born and raised outdoors with his siblings and mom until they were brought into rescue several months later. Since then, he has been learning what it means to feel safe and cared for in a home environment.

Mikey can be a bit insecure and often looks to his foster mom for reassurance. He may feel nervous going outside on his own, but he gains confidence when his person is by his side. With patience, encouragement, and consistency, he will continue to build trust and confidence in new situations.

This sweet boy is very affectionate. He loves giving kisses and soaking up attention. Mikey enjoys snuggling and will play with the other dogs in his foster home. He truly is a gentle, cuddly little companion. He also gets along with cats!

Like all puppies, Mikey enjoys chewing, so his forever family will need to keep important items safely out of reach and provide appropriate chew toys. He is very smart and eager to learn, and his mind is like a sponge. Mikey is not leash trained, so he will need an adopter who is willing to work with him to build that habit. In a home where someone works from home, is newly retired, or simply has the time to invest in his growth, Mikey is sure to thrive.

Mikey is a precious little boy who deserves a patient, loving family ready to help him continue blossoming into a confident and happy companion.
