The C-K Public Health Unit had no new COVID cases yesterday, they were closed for Remembrance Day. There are still 23 active cases.
There will be an update this afternoon.
Ontario reported 1,426 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, marking another single-day record. The hot spots yesterday for new cases were Peel, Toronto, York, Durham and Hamilton.
The Provincial Junior Hockey League has pushed back its start date for the coming season by one month to January 1st.
In August the Junior C league announced a start date of December 1st, but that won’t be happening.
The Blenheim Blades, Wallaceburg Thunderhawks, Dresden Kings and Wheatley Sharks are the local teams waiting for the season to start.
The Masters golf tournament begins today, and because of coronavirus concerns, there will be no fans in attendance.
Tiger Woods was the winner last year. The winner of this week’s Masters will take home $2.07 million and the famed Green Jacket.

Sony is requiring all retailers around the world to only sell the PS5 online at launch to avoid crowds amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Good luck finding a PS5 in stock.

If you decide to customize the entire cookie, you’ll have the ability to choose the creme colour from eight colours, decide if you want your cookies dipped in white or classic fudge, add sprinkles, and even add a photo or text to the front of your cookie.
The new feature is called OREOiD. This is the first time Oreo fans have been able to make the cookie totally unique to their tastes.
