The pandemic canceled last year’s NCAA tournament, but college basketball’s premier event has returned, although with a few changes to account for COVID-19.
Typically, the early rounds are scattered across the country in different “regions,” but this year the 67 men’s games will all take place in Indiana with the bulk of the action happening in Indianapolis.
In the past, the first round of the tournament usually begins on a Thursday, with a second slate of opening-round games taking place on Friday before the second round on Saturday and Sunday.
As part of the changes for this year’s tournament, the NCAA moved things around a bit. The “First Four,” the games to decide the final play-in slots, is now happening today. The first tip off is at 5:10.
The odds of picking the perfect March Madness bracket are 1 in 9.2 quintillion.
The NCAA website has installed a ‘Boss Button’ on their site, which allows employees to watch March Madness games while at work. Press it, and the audio feed turns off while spreadsheets pop up.
President Joe Biden’s dog is no longer in the doghouse.
Major, a 3-year-old rescue dog had bitten a few people while getting comfortable at the White house, so he and Champ, who is 12, were moved to the Bidens’ Delaware home after the incident. Biden said the dogs went to Wilmington because the first couple was going to be out of town.
The dogs are the first pets to call the White House home since President Barack Obama departed in early 2017 with his pups Bo and Sunny.

A 20-year old just set a world record by drinking a Capri Sun in 16.65 seconds.
That doesn’t seem that fast, but the rules say you have to start with the straw still glued to the side of the pouch. He said, “It is a stupid record to hold, but that is the fun of the Guinness World Records.”
The previous fastest time was just about 18 seconds.
He actually beat the record back in August, but Guinness World Records just confirmed his time this week.
