Good chance to catch the Northern Lights tonight and tomorrow, as long as the weather cooperates.

Experts say the sun recently released a large cloud of electrically charged particles which is set to pass by earth in the coming days. The mass of particles, or Solar Storm, will travel 150 million kilometres towards earth and is expected to make contact with Earth’s atmosphere on Friday.

When the storm’s magnetic field collides with the earth’s atmosphere it will create the Aurora Borealis, an event more commonly referred to as The Northern Lights.

An early forecast by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute, using data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, suggested that the northern lights could be visible much farther south than usual this week.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall for six caffeinated drinks including Prime, the drink by American social media personality Logan Paul.

3D Alphaland energy drink, 5-hour Energy, Celsius dietary supplement, GFuel energy drink and Sting were also recalled.

The notice says all of the affected products are under recall “due to various non-compliances related to caffeine content and labelling requirements.”

Prime, which is advertised as vegan and having zero sugar, contains 200 milligrams of caffeine per can — the equivalent of six cans of Coke or two Red Bulls. That is over the CFIA’s acceptable caffeine limit of 180 mg per serving and should not be sold.

Prime energy drink is different from Prime Hydration, which does not contain caffeine.

Dollarama and Air Miles have teamed up.

On Wednesday it was announced that beginning next month you can start earning Airmiles points at Dollarama.

The Toronto Blue Jays are back on the field tonight after the MLB All Star Break.

They’re at home to play the Arizona Diamondbacks at the Rogers Centre.

Heads up if you’re headed to a game this weekend, The Honda Indy is this weekend. Festivities kick off on Friday with the main race happening on Sunday. That means a large stretch of Lake Shore Boulevard West and surrounding streets will be closed adding to a headache that is Toronto traffic.
