\"\"Quarantine for Canadians returning from abroad is no longer a suggestion, it is mandatory.<\/p>\n

\"\"The federal government has announced that anyone coming back to Canada from another country must self-isolate for 14 days upon their return. The Health Minister says the government is invoking the Quarantine Act to force returning travelers to self-isolate.<\/p>\n

This week both Prime Minister Justin Trudeau<\/a> and Premier Doug Ford<\/a>, demanded that people returning from abroad not stop at grocery stores on their way home, but rather go directly to their homes.<\/p>\n

The quarantine order went into effect at midnight. This measure is not retroactive for people who have already returned. But beginning at midnight this morning, anyone who crossed the border will have their personal information recorded to help authorities monitor whether or not they are obeying the order.<\/p>\n
