The Federal Government announced late last evening that the in-person centres will be closed, starting this morning. Canadians will need to apply online for employment insurance, pension benefits and other Service Canada services.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau<\/a> announced earlier this week that Canadians who are out of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic should start to receive financial help from the federal government within 10 days of applying for employment insurance (EI).<\/p>\n

\"\"With Ontario restaurants currently only allowed to offer takeout and delivery due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the rules around allowing alcoholic beverages in those orders have been eased.<\/p>\n

\"\"The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)<\/a> announced yesterday the Liquor Licence Act has been changed to let licensed bars and restaurants sell beer, wine, and spirits, as long as they are included as part of a food order.<\/p>\n

All alcohol sold in a takeout or delivery order must be in a sealed and unopened container. It can only be sold between 9am-11pm, with no limit on the amount of liquor that may be sold for takeout or delivery. Third parties, such as food delivery services like Skip the Dishes, are permitted to make the alcohol deliveries, as long as they are acting on behalf of a licensee.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"McDonald’s<\/a> has announced that because of the coronavirus pandemic, they need to, “simplify operations.” And one casualty is, no more all-day breakfast.<\/p>\n

The president of McDonald’s did tweet, “All day breakfast’s response to this news: ‘I’ll be back.'” But no one knows when.<\/p>\n

McDonald’s also announced that all health care workers and emergency services personnel can grab a medium coffee or tea on them at drive thrus in Canada.<\/p>\n

\"\"Fred “Curly” Neal of the Harlem Globetrotters<\/a> passed away. He was 77.<\/p>\n

\"\"Neal played for the Globetrotters from 1963-85, appearing in more than 6,000 games in 97 countries for the exhibition team.<\/p>\n
