\"\"\"\"Canadians who need it can access the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit<\/a> for an additional eight weeks. Justin Trudeau<\/a> made that announcement yesterday.<\/p>\n

The program, introduced in early April, was first intended to give eligible Canadians $2,000 for a maximum of 16 weeks. The extension will mean millions of people can continue to rely on it until the end of the summer.<\/p>\n

The PM also confirmed that the U.S.\/Canada border would remain closed until at least July 21st. Only essential travel has been allowed over the border since March 21st to limit the spread of COVID-19 between the two countries.<\/p>\n

Blessed Sacrament will welcome parishoners for mass on Saturday at 5pm; Sunday at 9am and Sunday at Noon.<\/p>\n

To attend one of these Masses you will have to register either online<\/a> or by phoning the office (519-352-9483). Registration will be accepted on Wednesdays and Thursdays only.<\/p>\n

You are asked to only attend every second weekend in order that others can have the chance to attend. Everyone who attends Mass will be required to wear a mask.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"Diego, a giant tortoise who saved his species, has finally retired to an uninhabited island off the coast of Ecuador after decades of service in a breeding program.<\/p>\n

The giant tortoise is over 100 years old and produced around 800 offspring. His unstoppable libido was credited as a major reason for the survival of his fellow giant tortoises on Espa\u00f1ola. When he arrived there were just two males and 12 females of his species alive on the island, but Diego helped to boost the population to over 2,000. Scientists believe he is the patriarch of around 40% of that population.<\/p>\n

Diego previously lived in San Diego Zoo but was shipped to the Galapagos as part of a breeding program.<\/p>\n
