Councillor Brock McGregor<\/a> presented the motion and will join CKMORNINGS at 7:40 this morning.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"Chatham-Kent Public Health<\/a> reported 11 new COVID-19 cases on Monday and 16 recovered cases for a total of 88 active cases.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s five fewer active cases than Friday. Three local people remain in the hospital recovering from the coronavirus. The death toll remains at two.<\/p>\n

After a full week of reporting fewer than 100 daily cases, yesterday Ontario reported 115 cases.<\/p>\n

\"\"Windsor-Essex will join the rest of Ontario in Stage 3 of the COVID-19 reopening plan tomorrow.<\/p>\n

\"\"That will allow for indoor restaurant dining, re-opening of playgrounds and movie theatres plus gatherings of 50 people indoors and up to 100 people outdoors with social distancing.<\/p>\n

Ontario Premier Doug Ford<\/a> started his Monday news conference by thanking the residents of Windsor Essex for their patience. Ford will travel to the area Thursday.<\/p>\n

The upper material of the shoe is made from a vegan material called AppleSkin, it is made using repurposed apple waste from the juice industry in Italy.<\/p>\n

The apple core, pips and skins are dried and milled to a fine apple powder. Then it\u2019s applied to a tear-resistant woven roll with cotton fabric. These rolls are heated and given an added protective layer to produce a weather-resistant durable fabric. Organic pigments are added to the brown fabric, producing colours of choice. The material is breathable, durable, and 100% vegan.<\/p>\n

The Kickstarter Campaign has an Early Bird Special that’ll sell them for about $100 for a pair of apple shoes. That’s about 40% less than what would ultimately be the retail price.<\/p>\n
