\"\"\"\"The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit<\/a> reported 2 new cases of COVID-19, three recovered cases and no one person in the hospital recovering. There are 8 active cases.<\/p>\n

Ontario reported 118 new positive cases, the biggest rise in cases of the week.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"A 1,000-km\/hour high speed travel ‘pod’ is coming to Canada.<\/p>\n

The government of Alberta has signed an agreement with Canadian transportation tech company TransPod<\/a> to develop and test a high-speed hyperloop between Edmonton and Calgary. Construction won’t begin until 2025.<\/p>\n

There are a handful of companies developing this technology \u2014 which allows pods to travel at high speeds in a low-pressure tube – most projects around the world are in the very early stages. This would be the first such project in Canada.<\/p>\n

\"\"The TransPod vehicles would travel up to 1,000 kilometres per hour, with an average speed of between 400 and 600 kilometres per hour. Alberta\u2019s hyperloop line would stop at the Edmonton and Calgary airports as well as Red Deer, and the total moving time of the full line would be a half-hour. It\u2019s currently almost a 300-kilometre drive between the two cities.<\/p>\n

The project is expected to cost $6-$10-billion-dollars.<\/p>\n

\"\"Amazon<\/a> just unveiled a new fitness tracker called the Halo Band<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\" It includes a featured called Tone” that tracks your voice and tells you if you’re being a jerk or not.<\/p>\n

The A.I. in it analyzes your voice and tells you what you sound like to other people. Things like “happy,” “hopeful,” “confused,” “worried,” “affectionate,” “bored,” and “apologetic.” And it’s supposed to help with communication skills at work, and in relationships.<\/p>\n

The promo video<\/a> really focuses on the relationship part. There’s a guy sleeping on the couch after a fight with his wife. Then he checks his Halo app, realizes he wasn’t being supportive and apologizes to her.<\/p>\n

It also does normal stuff, like counting steps and tracking your sleep patterns. It’ll cost $99 on Amazon, but you can request early access and get it for $65 right now.<\/p>\n

You also have to subscribe to the tracking app for $4 a month. But the first six months are free.<\/p>\n
