The active cases went down, there are now just 12 in C-K; the lowest it’s been in 3 weeks.<\/p>\n

There was another confirmed case on Walpole Island, there are now currently two active cases.<\/p>\n

Ontario reported 1242 new cases Monday. 81% of the new positive cases are in the hotspots; Toronto, York, Peel, Ottawa and Hamilton.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"Pfizer<\/a> says its vaccine is over 90% effective at preventing people from getting the virus. Which is huge news, because it means the vaccines could really help us get things under control.<\/p>\n

Officials like Dr. Fauci were worried they might only be 50 to 70% effective. And if only half of us were willing to get a vaccine, it might not do much. So over 90% is a really big deal. Just to compare, flu vaccines are only 40 to 60% effective most years.<\/p>\n

If all goes well, Prime Minister Truedau says,\u00a0the\u00a0Pfizer vaccine\u00a0should be available to Canadians sometime\u00a0over the first three months of 2021.<\/p>\n
