Prime Minister Justin Trudeau<\/a> announced early delivery of 249,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine candidate is expected sometime next week, pending Health Canada approval.<\/p>\n

In total, the Canadian government has ordered up to 76 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine, which requires two doses per person, to be taken two weeks apart.<\/p>\n

Eleven new cases include four in schools. There are 35 active cases in Chatham-Kent, after a handful of recoveries over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Ontario is reporting a record-high in new cases for the third straight day, surpassing the previous high by a single case. 1,924 new cases were revealed Monday. Majority of the cases still coming from Toronto, Peel, York and Durham.<\/p>\n
