An outbreak was declared at the home on January 10th, and since then a total of 100 COVID-19 cases have been reported among residents and staff.<\/p>\n

Fairfield Park will continue to work with the Public Health Unit over the coming days to resume many activities at the home.<\/p>\n

Wayne and his wife Janet Jones Gretzky confirmed his death late Thursday. Gretzky had battled Parkinson\u2019s disease for many years and \u201cother health issues.”<\/p>\n

Walter wrote two books and was known as Canada’s Hockey Dad.<\/p>\n

Gretzky is predeceased by his wife Phyllis, whom he married in 1960 and went on to have five children with.<\/p>\n

\"\"Air Canada<\/a> has agreed to refund passengers who had their flights cancelled or postponed during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

\"\"In December, the federal government directed the Canadian Transportation Agency, which oversees issues related to passenger rights, to strengthen rules that require airlines to refund travellers for cancelled flights.<\/p>\n

However, those rules would have only applied to future cancellations and would not be retroactive. It’s been estimated that as of September 30th, around 3.9 million air passengers including those with Air Canada have been denied a refund for flights they did not take.<\/p>\n

Air Canada has not confirmed the refunds, the claims are being reported by Unifor.<\/p>\n
