\"\"Ontario residents with COVID-19 symptoms will soon be able to get tested at many more locations.<\/p>\n

Symptomatic testing will be coming to any pharmacy in the province that decides to opt-in to a new program. Any pharmacies that opt-in will be able to give out the PCR tests and participate in a drop-off program for take-home tests.<\/p>\n

Once the program launches, individuals who come down with COVID-19 symptoms, or have been in close contact with a confirmed case, will be able to get a PCR swab test at a participating pharmacy. Prior to this program, anyone seeking a COVID-19 test at a pharmacy in the province needed to be asymptomatic. Ontario will become the first province in Canada to allow symptomatic testing within local pharmacies.<\/p>\n

When the new program launches all participating locations will be listed on the government of Ontario website.<\/p>\n

All Canadian provinces (except B.C.) and territories will have an Alert Ready test<\/a> today.<\/p>\n

The test alerts are organized twice a year \u2014 once in May and once in November \u2014 and is a way of making sure the system works. Alert Ready in Ontario is part of a national service designed to deliver critical and potentially life-saving emergency alert messages to Canadians.<\/p>\n

In Ontario the test will be at 12:55PM.<\/p>\n

The message will be broadcast over TV, radio and via compatible devices, too. It’ll reveal that it’s a test, so you won’t need to do anything except recover from the shock.<\/p>\n
