\"\"Ontario reported 914 people hospitalized due to the virus on Tuesday, a slight uptick from Monday. The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in the province hit its lowest point since the start of the Omicron wave on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The province lifted most public health measures on Tuesday, including the vaccine passport requirement. Premier Doug Ford has said masks will likely be in place in Ontario for at least a couple more weeks.<\/p>\n

Most of the province will see an increase of 2 cents per litre today. A 3 cent per litre jump is expected in parts of Ontario tomorrow. Gulp<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Toronto alone could see an 11 cent jump Thursday. There is much uncertainty around how tensions between Russia and Ukraine will play out and if there will ultimately be a loss of oil supply.<\/p>\n

\"\"Major League Baseball<\/a> has canceled Opening Day.<\/p>\n

Commissioner Rob Manfred made the announcement Tuesday that baseball will lose regular-season games over a labour dispute for the first time in 27 years after lockout talks collapsed just before deadline.<\/p>\n

The league sent the players\u2019 association a \u201cbest and final offer\u201d Tuesday on the ninth straight day of negotiations. Players rejected that offer.<\/p>\n

Opening Day in Major League Baseball was scheduled for March 31st.<\/p>\n

\"\"The Weather Network<\/a> just released the 2022 Spring Forecast. They’re predicting that the province will receive periods of “colder than normal” weather throughout March and April, with a threat of high-impact winter weather for most regions.<\/p>\n

Above-normal precipitation is expected for Ontario, which will be bad news for farmers. They could see a delay in the start of the planting season because fields could be too wet for heavy equipment.<\/p>\n

On the upside, the cold temperatures won’t be consistent, expect some warm spring weather in early May.<\/p>\n
