For the first time in over two years, municipal art galleries are inviting people to downtown Chatham to hop between storefronts to look at art and speak with local artists.<\/p>\n

The Thames Art Gallery and ARTspace have organized a Spring Mini-Art Crawl for March 25 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Art and Heirloom Shoppe, William Street Caf\u00e9 and The Co. will be welcoming visitors during the evening.<\/p>\n

The last mini art crawl was held in January 2020.<\/p>\n

Camp Vincent is reopening this summer after being dormant since March 2020, when COVID-19 closed the facility.<\/p>\n

During that time the staff completed major renovations around the facility. The 51-year-old camp houses eight cabins with 10 bunks, an indoor dining hall, recreational areas, a pool, and more.<\/p>\n

The all-inclusive camp for children aged 6-15, will be open this summer with weekly sessions beginning July 10 and ending August 26. There is also a shorter session from August 2-5, which will be for the youngest campers.<\/p>\n

There is a leader-in-training program for campers aged 14-16, as well as employment opportunities for university students and older staff.<\/p>\n

The upcoming open house at the camp is on Saturday, June 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. More information about the camp and registration can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With March Break upon us, the Ontario government is reminding residents of the Ontario Staycation Tax Credit in place for 2022.<\/p>\n

Residents will get back 20 per cent on eligible accommodation expenses for stays in the province this year. This includes hotels, motels, lodges, bed-and-breakfast establishments, cottages, campgrounds, and other short-term accommodations in Ontario that are subject to GST\/HST.<\/p>\n

Individuals can claim $1,000 and families can claim up to $2,000 for a credit of $200 to $400.<\/p>\n

Residents will be able to apply for the credit when they file their 2022 personal income tax benefit.<\/p>\n

Tom Brady is already coming out of retirement for his 23rd season in the NFL.<\/p>\n
