They will retool and modernize both plants, converting them to flexible, multi-vehicle assembly facilities ready to produce the electric vehicles of the future.<\/p>\n<p>The provincial government is supporting all these investments with up to $513 million in funding, while the federal government is investing $529 million.<\/p>\n<p>Both plants will become three-shift operations once retooling is complete.
