Today&#8217;s drop off will be from 8-3pm.<\/p>\n<p>Household hazardous waste days:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuesday, July 12, 8am \u2013 1pm<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday, August 9, 8 a.m. \u2013 1 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Saturday, September 10, 8am \u2013 3pm<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday, October 11, 8am \u2013 1pm<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday, November 8, 8am \u2013 1pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Residents can safely dispose of household hazardous material at no charge. A list of acceptable material can found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chatham-kent.ca\/services\/garbage\/Documents\/Household%20Hazardous%20Waste%20Day%20Accepted%20Material.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-54692 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/bri-web-app-wordpress\/2018\/09\/3acb2f67-cksy_5_things_3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"58\" height=\"90\" \/>The <a href=\"https:\/\/windsorspitfires.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Windsor Spitfires<\/a> have forced a Game 7 in the OHL Championship Finals.<\/p>\n<p>The Spits beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-2 Monday night in front of a sell out crowd.<\/p>\n<p>Game 7 will be on Wednesday in Hamilton with puck drop set for 7pm on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/\" rel=\"noopener\">TSN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-54688 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/bri-web-app-wordpress\/2018\/09\/63a1a3cf-cksy_5_things_4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"65\" height=\"90\" \/>Another supply chain shortage issue.<\/p>\n<p>This time, Sriracha hot sauce.<\/p>\n<p>The company that makes it is Huy Fong Foods, and they probably won&#8217;t be able to meet demand this year because the supply of chili peppers has been tightening due to supply chain issues and poor weather conditions in Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>The company said they&#8217;ve been struggling with chili pepper supply since July of 2020, but they hope they can &#8220;resume production as normal&#8221; with their fall harvest.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-54689 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/bri-web-app-wordpress\/2018\/09\/3a9171bb-cksy_5_things_5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"56\" height=\"89\" \/>Merle Liivand broke a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guinnessworldrecords.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guinness World Record<\/a> by completing a 26.22-mile (42KM) swim using a silicone monofin.<\/p>\n<p>She is also known as Eco Mermaid and a champion ice swimmer and marine conservationist.<\/p>\n<p>She accomplished the feat off the coast of Miami, Florida, in just 11 hours and 54 seconds. She broke her previous record of 18.6 miles for the farthest swim with a monofin.<\/p>\n<p>To set the record, Liivand could not use her arms. Instead, she only used her legs and feet, which were bound in the mermaid-like tail fin.<\/p>\n<p>During her swim, Liivand collected any garbage she saw and placed it in the kayak rowing alongside her to be properly disposed of later.<br \/>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/https:\/\/youtu.be\/l_BpdInFAys\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"June 14th is the 165th day of the year.
