\"\"\"\"Toblerone<\/a> has been a Swiss chocolate brand for 115 years and since the 1970s, they’ve used Switzerland’s iconic Matterhorn mountain as their logo. But Switzerland is forcing them to drop it.<\/p>\n

Toblerone recently announced that they are moving some production out of the country later this year to Slovakia. They say they need to increase production to keep up with demand.<\/p>\n

But Switzerland has laws where you can’t use any “Swissness” on your packaging, including their flag or any iconic imagery like the Matterhorn, unless the product is exclusively Swiss.<\/p>\n

So Toblerone is swapping out the distinctive outline of the Matterhorn for a generic triangular mountain shape.<\/p>\n
