Canada just surpassed 4 million hectares burned in wildfires so far this year. For comparison, last year only 28 thousand hectares had burned by June 7th. That\u2019s an increase of about 14400%.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"The Bank of Canada<\/a> announced .25% interest rate hike Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The key interest rate now sits at 4.75%, the highest it\u2019s been since 2001. It’s the first interest rate increase since January.<\/p>\n

The rate hike will be hit Canadian homeowners who have variable-rate mortgages or those set to renew their fixed terms.<\/p>\n

While some variable-rate mortgage holders will immediately see their monthly payments increase in line with the rate decision, those with fixed payments could see the amortization of their loan extend once more.<\/p>\n

Tims Financial is a new division of Tim Hortons that will offer a no-annual-fee Mastercard<\/a>. The card will be launched in the coming months, but if you’re interested you can sign up for a waitlist TimsFinancial.ca<\/a><\/p>\n

Users will be able to earn Tims Rewards Points on most purchases, including on many gas, grocery and transit purchases, and extra points at Tim Hortons restaurants.<\/p>\n

The ticket holders will split the $70 million jackpot. One was sold in British Columbia, the other in Windsor.<\/p>\n
