Construction had been at a standstill for several months on the\u00a0$5-billion battery plant as the company negotiated for increased government funding.<\/p>\n

Stellantis and LG Energy Solution say construction of the plant would start back up immediately after they reached a binding financing deal with the governments of Canada and Ontario.<\/p>\n
