We now know what the Chatham-Kent Intercounty Baseball League team name will be.<\/p>\n

It was revealed on Thursday afternoon that the team will be named the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers.<\/p>\n

Barnstorming refers to the practice of teams travelling from town to town to play games. The name is meant to honour Chatham-Kent’s rich history of baseball and the legacy of the Chatham Coloured All-Stars.<\/p>\n

Merch is now available for the team, by contacting the league.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The team is set to start playing at Fergie Jenkins Field next spring.<\/p>\n

CK Rec kicks off its Summer Fest lineup this weekend.<\/p>\n

with all kinds of fun, free things to keep the kids busy throughout the summer.<\/p>\n

That includes free rec swims at their pools all summer long.<\/p>\n

Every weekend in July there will be Beach Days in Erieau and Mitchell\u2019s Bay and Play Rangers will be at Kingston Park in Chatham.<\/p>\n

Then every Tuesday in August, Party in the Park and Movies in the Park will be alternating between a couple of different parks across Chatham-Kent.<\/p>\n

SheLeads is set for tomorrow at the Capitol Theatre in Chatham.<\/p>\n

The first-of-its-kind event in Chatham will feature\u00a0a full day of activities to engage and uplift local women.<\/p>\n

The day will consist of speakers, workshops, and other special activities designed by-and-for women.<\/p>\n

As a way to allow the event to be as accessible as possible, the ticket price is suggested $20 per ticket, but if this is not possible you can pay what you can.<\/p>\n

FLICK is expected to open sometime this summer.<\/a><\/p>\n

It\u2019ll be opened by Vancouver-based film and television producer Garrett VanDusen, who was born and raised in Chatham-Kent and is looking to bring a piece of Hollywood’s film industry to the municipality.<\/p>\n
