The Holiday Smile Cookie at Tims are available until Sunday, supporting Pet and Wildlife Rescue<\/a>.
\nIn Tilbury, every Holiday Smile Cookie sold at the Mill Street location will directly benefit the Tilbury Information & HELP Centre.<\/p>\n

This is the first ever time Tims has done the campaign during the holidays. The Holiday Smile Cookie is a white chocolate chip sugar cookie, with red and green sprinkles and a hand-decorated smile.<\/p>\n

\"\"Alert Ready<\/a> will be conducting a test across the province today to ensure the system\u2019s readiness in the case of an actual emergency.<\/p>\n

\"\"These routine tests of the Alert Ready system typically happen twice per year, with the last one taking place in May.<\/p>\n

The test message will simulate an emergency alert. A message will be issued along with the alert tone indicating that it is a test and that no further action is required from the public.<\/p>\n

The test is scheduled for 12:55pm.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"The Royal Canadian Mint<\/a> is ready to begin circulating coins featuring King Charles.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the model of the first Canadian coins bearing the face of the King.<\/p>\n

The mint said a small amount of 2023-dated coins with the King\u2019s likeness are to circulate in early December. The design shows the profile of the left side of the King\u2019s face, with him wearing a shirt, tie and no crown.<\/p>\n

The King\u2019s face on the coins replaces the image of his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II. The mint has featured the portrait of the reigning monarch on Canadian coins since opening its doors in 1908. For the first time in 70 years, the image will be of a king.<\/p>\n

A design by Canadian portrait artist Steven Rosati was chosen out of 350 artists. The winning design was sent to Buckingham Palace for approval.
