In the our area, the eclipse will take place between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., with the sun expected to be totally hidden around 3:15 p.m. The last total eclipse experienced in the province was February 26, 1979, in Northern Ontario, and the next one won\u2019t happen again over the province until 2099.<\/p>\n

You should never look directly at the Sun, eclipsed or not, without proper protective eyewear as the Sun\u2019s radiation can be incredibly damaging.<\/p>\n

Temperatures could drop around 10 degrees for up to an hour this afternoon.<\/p>\n

Expect traffic to be heavier than usual in C-K today, and anywhere along the path of totality. Rain will start off this morning, and push out by noon with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Rondeau Provincial Park<\/a> is sold out for day use today.<\/p>\n

\u26a0\ufe0f Rondeau Provincial Park is now sold out for day use on Monday April 8, 2024. Only vehicles with a campsite, pavilion or day use reservation will be allowed to enter the park on this date. Cottager access is unaffected.<\/p>\n

Structural demolition of the lower bowl occurred between October 13-26, 2023, where an average of 350 workers were on-site daily. The process included removing and recycling 26.5 million pounds of concrete and three million pounds of steel.<\/p>\n

The section behind home plate has also received a noticeable upgrade, with new seating. Cup holders will also be a popular addition to baseball fans at the Rogers Centre.<\/p>\n

Rogers Centre is the sixth-oldest active MLB ballpark.<\/p>\n
