Lots of unshine is expected on Monday along with a high of 32C. However, the humidex will make it feel more like 39C<\/p>\n

While Tuesday will be mild as well, things will cool down to the mid-20s mid-week along with a chance of rain, before the sunshine and warmer temps return on Friday.<\/p>\n

The Chatham-Kent Film Group returns with another screening today.<\/p>\n

At 4 pm or 7 pm, you can stop by the Captiol Theatre to see\u00a0Farewell, Mr. Haffmann<\/span><\/p>\n

The CK Film Group screens\u00a0independent films every first Monday of the month however it was pushed back a week \u00a0because of the Canada Day long weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another week of free swims thanks to CKRecreation.<\/p>\n

Both indoor and outdoor pools in Chatham-Kent will offer Free Rec Swims and Free Parent and Tot Swims at select times throughout the summer as part of CKRec’s Summer Fest.<\/p>\n

On Monday\u00a0there are Free Parent and Tot Swims from 10 am-11 am and free rec swims from 1:30 pm-4 pm and 6:30-8 pm at both\u00a0Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool and\u00a0Gable Rees Rotary Pool.<\/p>\n

Today is the one day of the year when 99% of people on Earth are all technically in sunlight at the same time. It happens at 7:15 A.M. Eastern every July 8th. But only because of something called \u201castronomical twilight.\u201d<\/p>\n

At that exact moment, 83% of populated areas are in full daylight, including Africa, Europe, and most of Asia. Meanwhile, 7% are in twilight, where the sun is rising or setting. And 6% are in \u201cnautical twilight,\u201d where it\u2019s basically dark.<\/p>\n

The remaining 3% are in \u201castronomical twilight,\u201d where the sun is well below the horizon. So to the human eye, it\u2019s dark out. But there\u2019s still a tiny bit of indirect light that only matters if you\u2019re looking at stuff through a telescope.<\/p>\n

Only 93% of us can actually see any light at that moment. But technically, just 1% are looking at a totally dark sky, mostly in Australia, New Zealand, and New Guinea.<\/p>\n

Canada’s Wonderland is now part of the Six Flags empire.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n

Cedar Fair, the company that owns the\u00a0Vaughan theme park has officially merged with\u00a0fellow theme park brand Six Flags and will operate under the\u00a0new\u00a0Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.<\/p>\n

Canada’s Wonderland is assuring people that there are no\u00a0major changes planned at the park level and that\u00a02024 season pass and rewards holders will not be affected by the new partnership.<\/p>\n

The company also previously said that the merger would help them cut costs and achieve a more robust operating model to enhance park offerings and performance.<\/p>\n
