It’ll be in effect for the Thames River and surrounding low-lying areas until Monday due to heavy rain. The promenade along the Thames River in Chatham and Simcoe Lane in Chatham under the Fifth Street Bridge are expected to flood in the coming days. The river is expected to peak in Chatham tonight.<\/p>\n

The LTVCA reminds you to be extra cautious and avoid the river as well as ditches and streams because slippery banks and fast-flowing water can be dangerous.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"Blenheim Cherryfest<\/a> and Sidewalk sales begins today!<\/p>\n

Cherryfest is one of Chatham-Kent’s longest-running and oldest festivals. It’s been a yearly tradition since the ’80s.<\/p>\n

World\u2019s Finest Shows is handling the midway. Sidewalk sales, entertainment capped off with the Canadian Cherry Pit Spit competition on Saturday beginning at noon.<\/p>\n
