\"\"\"\"Joey Bats will be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday they announced the class of 2025. Six new people will be inducted, including former Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista.<\/p>\n

Other inductees include former major league left-hander Erik Bedard, Canadian Junior National Team head coach Greg Hamilton.<\/p>\n

The Chatham Coloured All-Stars failed to garner the 75% support needed from Hall of 24-member selection committee to be inducted. The team made history in 1934 as the first Black team to win an Ontario Baseball Amateur Association championship.<\/p>\n

The induction ceremonies will take place on Saturday, June 7th. The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame is located in St. Marys, Ontario.<\/p>\n

This year’s first timers are: Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Man\u00e1, Outkast, Phish, and Chubby Checker.<\/p>\n

\"\"Chubby’s is 83 years old, and he’s been living off two hits for the past 60-plus years: The Twist and Let’s Twist Again. But he’s been wanting in the Rock Hall for a long time. In 2001, he took out a full-page ad arguing for his inclusion. In 2002, he protested outside the induction ceremony when he didn’t get in.<\/p>\n

The rest of this year’s nominees are: Mariah Carey, Joy Division\/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, Oasis, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes.<\/p>\n

The Class of 2025 will be announced in April, and the induction ceremony will take place next fall in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
