For the next three months here in the Northern Hemisphere the days will grow longer, that will lead us to June’s Summer Solstice on June 20th, the longest day of the year.<\/p>\n

March 19th is actually the earliest day that Spring can be. The last time it happened was 2020, but prior to that it was 128 years ago. It all has to do with Leap Days and Daylight Saving Time.<\/p>\n

\"\"So what does Mother Nature have planned for the first day of Spring?<\/p>\n

Environment Canada<\/a> is expecting a rainy start to the day, with rain turning to a mix of rain and flurries this afternoon, high just 8C. Tomorrow the sunshine returns and a high of 9C<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"With Spring officially here, the Chatham-Kent Public Library<\/a>‘s Seed Library will open to allow residents to \u201cborrow\u201d seeds from all branches.<\/p>\n

The CKPL Grows Seed Library will offer a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds at each branch. Library members can borrow seeds for free, save the seeds they grow, and return some of those seeds back to the library at the end of the growing season. Gardeners are also encouraged to \u201cgrow a row\u201d for Salvation Army food banks. Produce can then be donated at Salvation Army food banks, in Chatham, Blenheim, Ridgetown and Wallaceburg.<\/p>\n

Last year, more than 6,300 seed packages were distributed across the municipality.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"Netflix<\/a> announced Wednesday the second season of Quarterback<\/a>, giving fans an inside look into the lives of three quarterbacks – both on and off the field.<\/p>\n

The three QB’s that will be featured are Detroit Lions\u2019 Jared Goff, Cincinnati Bengals\u2019 Joe Burrow and Atlanta Falcons\u2019 Kirk Cousins, who appeared in the original docuseries.<\/p>\n

After the first season of Quarterback, the production company had a hard time finding players willing to be featured, so they released Receiver.<\/p>\n

Season Two of Quarterback was filmed throughout the 2024-25 season and will document the highs and lows of the three quarterbacks.<\/p>\n
