That\u2019s 28 seconds longer than estimates last done in the 1980&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>A decade\u2019s worth of observations by a French-led team tracked its magnetic poles providing a more precise rotation period for Uranus. From that distance, it takes about 84 Earth years for Uranus to orbit the sun.
