Guerrero has signed a $500-million, 14-year extension with the Jays.<\/p>\n

Guerrero is a dual citizen of Canada and the Dominican Republic. He was born in Montreal during his father’s time with the Montreal Expos. A deal didn’t look promising when nothing was agreed to by his own February 18th deadline, raising the anger of fans.<\/p>\n

It’s the biggest contract in Canadian sports history for a single athlete and the fifth-largest in the history of professional sports.<\/p>\n
