Chatham’s Garrett Day has been named the Co-Pitcher of the Week. The Barnstormers’ closer was lights out in three relief appearances, notching 3 saves in 3 innings. He allowed just 1 run, 3 hits, walked one, and hit a batter\u2014locking down three of Chatham-Kent\u2019s four wins during the week.<\/p>\n

He shared the honours with a pitcher from the Barrie Baycats.<\/p>\n

In late May, Barnstormers pitcher Mizuki Akatsuka picked up the award.<\/p>\n

To get you downtown easier, Transit Windsor<\/a> is once again offering a free shuttle. Shuttles will depart from the Devonshire Mall parking lot starting at 6:00 p.m., getting you to the waterfront. Following the fireworks, return shuttles will operate until midnight back to Devonshire Mall.<\/p>\n

Fireworks are scheduled for 10 p.m. on June 23rd, with Tuesday, June 24th as the rain date.<\/p>\n

Some say that the June Full Moon is one of the most beautiful of the year, it marks the start of early summer.<\/p>\n

Despite its name, the moon doesn\u2019t look red or pink, but rather large and golden. \u201cStrawberry\u201d comes from Native American traditions. June is the time when wild strawberries ripen in parts of Canada and the United States. Indigenous Peoples used this moon as a signal to start gathering the fruit.<\/p>\n

This full moon comes just before the summer solstice, which falls on June 20th this year. About every 20 years, the full moon and the solstice happen on the same day. The next full moon after this one will be the full buck moon, which will rise on July 10.<\/p>\n

Lululemon<\/a> announced last week that they will be raising prices in response to tariffs. The price increases on products will be \u201cmodest in nature\u201d and only applied to a \u201csmall\u201d portion of Lululemon\u2019s products.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are planning to take strategic price increases, looking item by item across our assortment as we typically do,\u201d the chief financial officer said last week.<\/i><\/p>\n

Lululemon says the hikes will roll over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
