Sunny today with a high of 31C, that will feel like 42 with the humidex. There’s a slight chance of some rain today. Overnight low temperatures are expected to range between 19 and 23 C, providing little relief from the heat.<\/p>\n

During heat warnings, people are advised to drink water often, watch for signs of heat exhaustion and to check on older adults and those at risk of heat illness.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"Chatham-Kent council will hold a special meeting to discuss the new homeless encampment tonight.<\/p>\n

Mayor Darrin Canniff called for the meeting due to all the issues and concerns being raised by members of the public over the location next to the Public Utilities Commission property on Grand Avenue East.<\/p>\n

The special council meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

The meeting will be streamed on the municipality’s Facebook Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n
