\"\"The 5th Annual Maple City Feis<\/a> is tomorrow at the John D. Bradley Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"A Feis (pronounced fesh) is a traditional Gaelic arts and culture festival, involving an Irish Dance Competition. It is a lot of fun with amazing dances and costumes.<\/p>\n

The event is open to the public from 8-5. Nearly 2000 visitors will be in the area as Irish dancers, ages 3 and up, from across North America come to compete.<\/p>\n

The IOC plans to add the dancing as a way to make the Olympics more \u201curban.”<\/p>\n

It\u2019s far from official just yet \u2014 the full committee needs to approve the sports in June \u2014 it is a big step in the process. Skateboarding, climbing and surfing have already been approved for the summer games in Tokyo next year, part of the youth movement by the IOC to get younger people involved.<\/p>\n
