After going through 18 months of treatment, he couldn\u2019t ignore the suffering he saw in cancer wards. Terry decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research in the Marathon of Hope. On September 1st, 1980, after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres, Terry was forced to stop running outside of Thunder Bay. Cancer had spread to his lungs. It has been tracked by scientists ever since it broke away in Antarctica in 1986. A23a has held the largest current iceberg title several times since the 1980&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>It has now shrunk to about 1,700 square kilometres. Now world\u2019s largest iceberg is now held by D15a, which measures around 3,000 square kilometres. <i>(Cool eh, like literally!)<\/i><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-54689 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/bri-web-app-wordpress\/2018\/09\/3a9171bb-cksy_5_things_5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"56\" height=\"89\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/imaze.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thamesville&#8217;s Corn Maize<\/a> is open for the season, closing on November 1st.<\/p>\n<p>But if you&#8217;re looking for the largest maze in Canada &#8211; it&#8217;s not too far away in Dundas, just outside of Hamilton.<\/p>\n<p>The Hanes Farm and Corn Maze has almost 20 acres of land and 12 foot cornstalks to get lost in.
