It was 24 years ago today, in 2001, at 8:46 A.M. and 9:03 A.M., two hijacked planes were crashed into the World Trade Center.<\/p>\n

In the early morning of September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners scheduled to travel from the East Coast to California. The hijackers crashed the first two planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. The third team struck the Pentagon, in Virginia, and the fourth plane crashed in rural Pennsylvania during a passenger revolt. The attacks killed 2,977 people and injured thousands more.<\/p>\n

A well known U.S. conservative activist has passed away.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Charlie Kirk, the founder of the conservative youth activist organization Turning Point USA, was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday at the age of 31.<\/p>\n

Starbucks is the latest retail chain to hop on the protein train.<\/a><\/p>\n

Starting September 29, Starbucks coffeehouses in the U.S. and Canada will offer Protein Cold Foam alongside a new line of Protein Lattes made with protein-boosted milk delivering approximately 15 to 36 grams of protein per grande beverage.<\/p>\n

They will come in a variety of flavours, including hot & iced lattes available unsweetened or sugar-free and are designed to support customers looking to add protein to their order.<\/p>\n

The mild fall temperatures will continue over the next few days.<\/p>\n

According to Environment Canada, we’ll see sunshine with highs in the mid 20s on Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n

On Monday, September 8, a temperature of -10.3\u00b0C was recorded in Isachsen, Nunavut, marking Canada\u2019s first plunge to this figure in early September. Northern Nunavut historically experiences these temperatures around this time as daylight diminishes and polar air begins its seasonal expansion.<\/p>\n

Canada’s Wonderland is introducing a strict new policy later this month.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The new policy will take effect just as the annual Halloween Haunt event begins, which is happening on select nights from Sept. 26 to Nov. 1.<\/p>\n

All guests aged 15 years old and younger will need to be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to Canada\u2019s Wonderland or remain in the park.<\/p>\n

The chaperone will need to show a valid government-issued photo ID at the security entrance. One chaperone will be able to accompany no more than 10 guests aged 15 or younger per day.<\/p>\n

The policy will be in effect daily by 6 p.m.\u2013 in a statement, Canada\u2019s Wonderland said it reserves the right to begin enforcing the chaperone policy earlier on any given day.<\/p>\n

They’re making the change in response to “unruly and innapropriate” incidents.<\/p>\n
