\"\"Santa’s in Chatham tonight and Wallaceburg tomorrow for the first two Santa Claus Parades of the season.<\/p>\n

The Chatham Santa Claus Parade begins tonight at 6. Starting on Sandy St., over the Lacroix St. bridge to Wellington, Third St., to King to the Wish Centre.<\/p>\n

The Wallaceburg Santa Claus Parade is tomorrow at 6 p.m. The parade will start on Arnold Street, before heading down Dufferin Avenue, continuing onto James Street, turning at Nelson Street and finally hitting Elgin Street.<\/p>\n

Chatham-Kent Firefighters will be in each parade passing “the boot” with proceeds going to the Chatham-Kent Salvation Army.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"Beginning today Point Pelee National Park<\/a> will be temporarily closed to visitors.<\/p>\n

The closure is to allow for Parks Canada and Caldwell First Nation to conduct a deer cull. There is a overabundance of white-tailed deer in the park. The current deer herd population remains higher than what the ecosystem can support and poses a safety risk. All the deer that are culled are given to Caldwell First Nation to use for ceremonial, personal, and traditional use. None of it is sold for profit.<\/p>\n

The park is expected to re-open on November 22nd.<\/p>\n
