GPS satellites are on a ten-digit code, which rolls over every 20 years or so. The last time it happened was 1999, but no one had GPS back then.<\/p>\n

It could potentially be a big deal, but probably not. The only devices really at risk of malfunctioning are old or based on old designs. Even then, the part of GPS that lets you find where you’re going should be unaffected, but anything that relies on a specific date and time wouldn’t work correctly.<\/p>\n
