A senior from Auburn University named\u00a0<strong>Samantha Cerio<\/strong>\u00a0came down after a double handspring and both her legs bent backwards at the knees.<br \/>\nAt first, people thought she&#8217;d broken both her legs.. (<strong>WARNING &#8211; IT IS GRUESOME!<\/strong>.. the injury happens at 39:45) &#8211; OUCH!<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1EgTA1ghMD4\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Luckily for Samantha, nothing is broken.\u00a0 But she did dislocate both knees, and she tore multiple ligaments.\u00a0 She needed surgery, and she has officially retired from the sport.<br \/>\nBut don&#8217;t worry about Samantha&#8217;s future.\u00a0 She&#8217;s an aerospace engineering major with a 3.48 GPA, and when she graduates in May she already has a job lined up at Boeing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A terrible injury on Friday at an NCAA gymnastics regional event in Louisiana..
